BLESS Agri-Food Laboratory Services PLC is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory that was founded in 2011 through a partnership between Ethiopian and French investors. Bless functions as a key conformity assessment body in the country, focusing on testing, product certification, inspection, and training services related to agri-food products.
Position: Associate Inspector
Education:
- BSc in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or related
Experience:
- 2 years of relevant experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertakes non-highly complex types of sample taking and inspections for certification in accordance with general policies, procedures and attained accreditation of the company as well as national and international conformity assessment standards, procedures and requirements, particularly ISO/IEC 17020;
Develops sample taking and inspection schedules and ensures their efficient and timely implementation;
Assists in the design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of appropriate operating systems procedures, manuals, guidelines and instructions in accordance with national and international standards, procedure and requirements, particularly in compliance to ISO/IEC 17020;
Inspects food and food ingredients on the basis of food safety requirements, national and international standards and customer requirements; records and reports regulatory violation;
Selects and takes samples, ensures proper handling and disposal of samples, and undertakes impurity determination and grading activities;
Undertakes inspections of raw materials, processes, products, material handling and storages;
Reviews inspection reports of junior inspectors, including impurities determination and grading results and submits to the department manager with recommendation for decision making;
