Akufada Micro Finance Institution S.C is a share company that has been registered by the National Bank of Ethiopia in accordance with Micro-Financing Business Proclamation No. 626/2009 and its amendment, Proclamation No. 1164/2019. The business license was granted on 01/08/2022, bearing the license number MFI/055/2022, and it officially commenced operations on October 22, 2022.

 

The institution was established to offer both financial and non-financial products to the economically active poor and the underserved middle-income segments of society. It aims to provide affordable loans, savings, and micro-insurance services, thereby contributing to the development of the national economy.

Position 1. Junior Network Infrastructure Administration

Education and training

 
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields of studies

Experience

  • 1 year of relevant work experience in Network Administrator positions

Technical and Behavioral competencies like Decision Making, Communication..etc.

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Listeningand speaking skills
  • Very good reading comprehension skills to understand written documentation.

Location: Debrebirhan

Position 2: Junior IT Application Support

Education and training

  • BA/BSC degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant field of study
 

Experience

  • 1 year of experience in Core Banking support & configuration management in a Banking or finance sector
  • Implementation and management experience of Core Banking Software
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing banking application support processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of system testing

Technical and Behavioral competencies like Decision Making, Communication..etc.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.

Position 3: IT Application Development and Customization Officer

Education and training

  • MSc/BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer/Electrical Engineering or any other related field of studies

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of Experience as Application development and customization Officer

Technical and Behavioral competencies like Decision Making, Communication…etc.

  • Ability to identify problems and evaluate alternative solutions to determine which one is best
  • Excellent listening and strong verbal communication skills
  • Reading comprehension and excellent writing skill
  • The ability to analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficiently is necessary
  • Ability to continually generate new ideas

Location: Debrebirhan

Position 4: IT Auditor officer

Education, Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics or equivalent

Professional certifications preferred: CISA, CISSP, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead auditor or equivalent

Experience Two (2) years of relevant experience

Specialized Knowledge, Understanding of the MFI /bank sector and IT principles and practice

Location: Head office, Debrebirhan

Position 5: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Qualifications and experience:

A chief executive officer shall:

  • Hold a minimum of first degree from recognized higher learning institution; and have a minimum of 5 years work experience of which, at a minimum, 3 years shall be in a managerial position.
  • Integrity

Persons with significant influence shall be honest, reputable and diligent. In determining integrity of persons with significant influence, all relevant factors shall be considered, including but not limited to:

  • whether the person has a record or evidence of previous conduct and activities where he/she/it has been convicted for a criminal offense under any law designed to protect members of the public from dishonesty or fraud whether in Ethiopia or elsewhere
