Afro-European Engineers (AEE) Founded in 2007 GC with headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, by Swiss and Ethiopian partners, AEE intended from the outset to provide specialized structural engineering services not only in Ethiopia, but also elsewhere in the world, including the greater Africa region. AEE has the vision of becoming a team renowned for creating sustainable structures and relationships to satisfy clients, team and society.
Currently, AEE is scaling up its operations to meet growing customer demand and to continue to grow it in an innovative manner by so reaching global clients. It is in this context and in an effort to ensure sustained growth that this vacancy is announced.
Position: Junior BIM & CAD Engineer
Qualifications + Profile:
- A minimum of BSc. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and Technology with CGPA 3.00 and above. Graduates of 2017 E.C or 2025/2026 G.C from renowned Ethiopian higher learning institutions are encouraged to apply.
- Well versed in the use of MS Office, MS Windows, the internet (for browsing and e-mails).
- Excellent visualization skills.
- Willing to learn and work with BIM and CAD software on structural details (formwork, reinforcement, pre-tensioning, structural steel…) with holistic and multidisciplinary projecting.
- Interest in sound construction and structural detailing practices
- Ability to think critically and to provide excellent quality drawings that are constructible, cost-effective, correct, concise and complete.
Other Requirement: Laptop to be used during training.
Desired Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience in Autodesk Revit at school or on private projects, even at undergraduate level.
- Ability to use Autodesk AutoCAD
- AI Skills
