The word “Addis” as part of the name of Addis Bank S.C. (AdB) carries double meaning: new ideas/innovations and the first word of the capital city of Ethiopia where the Bank is born to shoulder its historic mission. The new vision and innovative ideas/approaches that were initially brewed in Addis will however be shared to potential customers all over the country through branches that will eventually be opened in the near future.

AdB is established by diversified groups of shareholders, Cooperatives, Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs), Iddirs, other business organizations and individual citizens. The major shareholders of the Bank are Cooperatives and their members.

The Cooperatives are mainly engaged in the provision of financial services, export business, manufacturing and services. The members of the major shareholders are mainly low and middle income citizens. The Micro Finance Institutions also address the financial needs of the “Unbanked” citizens.

AdB endeavours to be an inclusive Bank that addresses the financial needs of different income groups in the country. It has the plan to penetrate the huge market that host low and middle income people through Cooperatives and Micro Finance Institutions. AdB will expand its operating by opening new branches at market centers within and outside Addis.

Position 1: Driver I

Job Requirements:

 
  • Grade 10 Complete with Driving License of 3rd Grade, Light Vehicle or equivalent
  • 2 years of driving experience in well-known Institutions

Job Summary:

  • Under general supervision of the Transport Coordinator, drives small vehicles, and medium sized trucks and vans to transport people and goods to meet Bank operation’s needs; observes safety standards and traffic rules strictly; handles vehicles properly according to procedures.

Position 2: Manager, Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Division

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management /Management/ Public Administration and Development Management or other closely related fields.
  • For Master’s degree holders: A minimum of 6 years of relevant HR experience preferably in Banking Industry, of which 2 years in a principal officer positions or 3 years in senior officer positions.
  • For Bachelor’s degree holders: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience preferably in the banking industry, of which 3 years in a principal officer positions or 4 years in senior officer positions.

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the Director, Human Capital Management Department, the Division Manager plans; organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the talent acquisition and onboarding functions and activities of the Bank. Initiate systems, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of talent acquisition and onboarding activities of the bank; undertake human capital planning of the bank; implement Talent Acquisition and Onboarding policies and procedures of the bank. Play a leading role in overseeing the process of sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified individuals to fill open positions within the bank.

Position 3: Manager, Procurement Division

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management/ Logistics and Supply Chain Management/ Management or other closely related fields.
  • For Master’s degree holders: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience preferably in the banking industry, of which 2 years in a principal officer positions or 3 years in senior officer positions.
  • For Bachelor’s degree holders: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience preferably in the banking industry, of which 3 years in a principal officer positions or 4 years in senior officer positions.

Job Summary

  • Under the supervision of the Director, Procurement and Facilities Management Department, the Manager, Procurement Division is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling all procurement activities of the Bank. The role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in alignment with institutional requirements and operational priorities. The Manager oversees the implementation of procurement policies and procedures, ensures compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and promotes transparency, accountability, and value for money in all procurement processes. The position also provides strategic leadership to the procurement function to support timely service delivery and effective resource utilization across the Bank.

Position 4: Branch Manager I

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance/Banking/ Management or other closely related fields.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant banking experience; out of which 2 years in supervisory role or equivalent positions.

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the Director, District Office, the Branch Manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls all activities of the branch. The role mobilizes resources, approves loans, overdraft facilities, and local and foreign transfers within authorized limits, handles foreign exchange transactions, and reviews the business and financial background of loan and guarantee applicants. Additionally, the Branch Manager prepares regular reports on branch activities to support effective decision-making and oversight.
